How do you become a sister?
To join our chapter, you must attend 2 social events and 1 informational event during one of our recruitment periods, typically during the beginning of each semester. This qualifies you for an interview, in which the decision will be made on whether or not you will receive a bid in the days following.
Do I have to be Asian to join?
No, we are an Asian-interest sorority, with history rooted in forming Asian communities, but this does not mean Asian-exclusive. Any person of any background is welcome to join and come to our recruitment periods. Every sister comes from different and very diverse backgrounds, and we cherish our ability to learn from one another.
Is it expensive?
We are much cheaper than an average sorority, as we don't have a house or facilities that some sororities include in their dues. We can't disclose the actual amount, but we can say that we have very flexible payment plans! Each sister works out a payment plan at the beginning of the semester with our Treasurer, which can range anywhere from paying it all at once, to making small weekly payments. We never want finances to be a reason someone can't join!
How much is the time commitment?
It's all up to you! We like to say that "what you put in is what you get out", so depending on what responsibilities you decide to take on in our sorority, it will directly influence your time commitment. However, the bare time commitment tends to be 1-2 meetings a week and 2-3 events a month at most! We prioritize our sisters' schedules and outside commitments, and work around those when planning our meetings or events. We also have a well-established absence policy.

alpha Kappa Delta Phi has a lot that makes it stand out, but the thing we hear the most is how close knit we are and the sense of community we build. A lot of our sisters came onto our campus looking for deep connections, and a place to feel at home, even when far away from their family and friends. The connections we foster and cherish within our chapter are like no other.
